libsocket6-perl software package provides Perl extensions for IPv6, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libsocket6-perl
libsocket6-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libsocket6-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libsocket6-perl *
You will get with libsocket6-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
